CHOICES

An important blog, short and sweet!

Have you ever considered how many choices you have in life, but also how many you DO NOT?

We did not get to choose when we would be born. Where we would be born, who our parents would be, what we would look like, how tall we would be, even our name was chosen for us before we arrived!

But as we grew, we realized there were many choices we could make for ourselves, (often causing much chagrin for our parents when we realized we could choose the word NO!) Every day we make many choices, some great, some not so good. And sometimes by not making a choice, we ARE making a choice.

So, lets look at a “life changing choice,” one to not be ignored.

Do you realize that we get to choose if we get to go to Heaven at the end of our earthly lives? The alternative of NOT choosing is an unfortunate and disastrous option, a place of darkness, eternal torment and complete separation from God.

So how do we choose wisely?

Romans 10:9-11 states it well and we get to choose to believe the divinely ordained words of the Bible, “If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord (God) and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, ‘Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame’.”

If you believe with all your heart that Jesus is Who He says He is, and that He did exactly what He said He would do, you will be saved.

He came to earth to live with the express purpose of dying, to pay the debts for all who believe in Him and His offering of His righteousness as a mantle or robe, our covering as the proper Heavenly apparel.

Praying you choose wisely and choose Jesus!
